Jersey Heights Master Plan
The Carepoint project is a complex effort to develop a state of the art hospital at a site which best serves the Northern communities of Jersey City . This endeavor involves understanding the various communities that the hospital will serve, understanding the nature and functions of the existing hospital as well as the requirements of contemporary healthcare institutions.
The plan considered the condition and useful service life of the existing facility , the constraints of the existing site , the potential use of the site and buildings for either rehabilitation , expansion , consolidation , construction of a new hospital , and/or the introduction of alternative uses on the site . We were also tasked with developing plans for the hospital on other sites beyond the existing campus while developing concepts for redeveloping the existing site.
Also involved were the expert real estate , cost management , engineering , legal and urban planning professionals required to fully study the consequences of the Carepoint plan . The project potentially could cost more than $ 350,000,000 , would create a contemporary hospital , include the development of a new residential community , develop supporting health related services , create of an urgent care facility , construct efficient parking facilities , and install new infrastructure and streets capable of resolving complex traffic issues.
